Good Luck Beijing the Olympic Games Synchronized Swimming Qualification Tournament 2008 will comprise two women’s events.

Team

Technical Routine

Each team of eight competitors will perform a routine, which must contain the required elements in prescribed order. Twelve required elements must be executed in 2 minutes, 50 seconds (±15 seconds).

Free Routine

This routine is free with no restrictions as to choice of music, content or choreography, and may consist of any figures, strokes, and/or parts thereof. Time: 4 minutes 00 seconds (±15 seconds).

Final Result

The Total Result will be the combined score of the Technical Routine (50 percent) and the Free Routine (50 percent).

Duet

Technical Routine

Each duet will perform a routine, which must contain the required elements in prescribed order. Ten required elements must be executed in 2 minutes, 20 seconds (±15 seconds).

Free Routine First Round

This routine is free with no restrictions as to choice of music, content or choreography and may consist of any figures and strokes. Time: 3 minutes 30 seconds (±15 seconds).

After the First round the 20 Duets are qualified: Continental qualifiers, duets with Team, plus from the first round the next ranked duets up to 20 duets.

Free Routine Second Round

The duets who placed 21 - 28 after First round will swim again the Free Routine.

Those who placed 1-4 will qualify to go to the Olympic Games.
