(Beijing, 16 April) - Comments from Jiang Tingting, Jiang Wenwen (CHN), Olivia Allison, Jenna Randall (GBR) Katsiaryne Kulpo (BLR), Nastasiya Parfenova (BLR), Anastasia Gloushkov (ISR) and Daria Iushko (UKR) after the duet technical routine of the Olympic Games Synchronised Swimming Qualification Tournament 2008 at the National Aquatics Center on Wendsday.

Jiang Tingting (CHN)

On their performance and feeling:
"We did a great job today. The Water Cube is a world standard venue and we felt everything went on well. The coach was satisfied with our performance."

On the one-point penalty they got:
"It's because our poses on the podium exceeded the time limit. We feel a bit disappointed on that. It seems that we weren't well prepared before the competiton, and it will not happen again."

On the routine:
"This is a new routine after World Championships last year. The new routine is well designed for our characteristics and show our strength and stretch well."

On the improvements after World Championship 2007 (ranked 4):
"We made improvements on every aspect, especially on our confidence."

Jiang Wenwen (CHN)

On the coach:
"Our coach is very strict and she trains us with world-standard. She is very kind after the competition is over."

Olivia Allison (GBR)

On emotions before performing:
"The feeling is usually that of excitement because we know exactly what we are going to do once we start peforming."

Jenna Randal (GBR)

On how she feels after performing:
"Today we were a bit nervous because we knew that only the top teams would qualify.  We were aware that if we didn't perform well, we would not be a qualifying team, but we felt relieved once we received our marks."

On today's performance:
"We are very satisfied with our performance, it was a good swim."

On her country hosting the 2012 Olympic games:
"I'm glad we will get the oppurtunity to host the games.  We will continue to train and if we keep progressing, we should be able to perform well in the 2012 games in London."

Katsiaryne Kulpo(BLR)

On their performance:
"Our performance was really good I think, but we are not satisfied with the score."

On her expectation for the this event:
"Our expectation was not to get the medal, but the qualification of the Olympics."

On the Russian team which did not coming this time:
"Russia is not our rival, because their level is higher than us. If they were coming, we'd like to watch their performance. We want to learn from them."

On their spare time:
"We hardly have any spare time actually, because we have to study in university as well besides the training."

Nastasiya Parfenova(BLR)

On their rivals:
"We have many rivals. But I think the biggest ones are Japan and Spain."

Anastasia Gloushkov (ISR)

On the theme:
"We use rock music to let the audience feel the high energy. We want to do an impressive programme."

On their goal:
"Our goal is to get qualified for the Olympics."
 
Daria Iushko (UKR)

On their performance:
"Our performance was good, but there was still some mistakes. However, we know that we don't have the chance to get the medal. We need more practice."

On their expectation for the 2008 Olympic Games:
"Our expectation is not the medal of the 2008 Olympics, but to beat Italy and Greece."

On their further improvement after this event:
"There is no problem with our technique, what we have to improve is our sychronisation."
