(Beijing, 19 April) - Comments from Andrea Fuentes (ESP) and Thais Henriquez (ESP) after the team free routine of the Olympic Games Synchronised Swimming Qualification Tournament 2008 at the National Aquatics Center on Saturday.
Andrea Fuentes (ESP) - Gold medallist
On their performance:
"We did a very good job, so we are very happy. We did the lifts very well. This is the first time we got a 9.9 for the technical."
On the lift in which there was a little mistake:
"Yes, we made a little mistake. The athlete on the surface of water, Paola Tirados, did not touch her leg, which she was supposed to do. Maybe she was unbalanced, I don't konw. But I don't think this had any effect on the score. Maybe the judges thought that movement was just like that and she should not touch her leg."
Thais Henriquez (ESP) - Gold medallist
On her performance:
"The team did very good. We tried our best. We are very happy with our scores. And our scores seem good enough for the Olympic games."
On her expectation for the 2008 Olympic Games:
"We will keep the same routine, but we will add more diffucult flips and things to get higher scores ."
On the team's theme:
"We want to keep the attention of the audience. We wanted to do something different and get a new and harder element ."
On training:
" We started training in April 2006. We had a lady from Senegal, Africa who helped us with the choreography and dance. She was very funny in her work."
